Sustainable Agricultural Cooperative
It was founded in 1971, under the name C.A.I Cooperativa Agricola Intercomunale di Argenta e Portomaggiore (Ferrara, Italy). To date, together with Bioplus S.r.l. a company that is part of the group, it is one of the most important companies in terms of size, number of employees and diversified offer of high quality products.
The cooperative has under direct management about 3,000 hectares of land in the province of Ferrara, almost all owned and partly cultivated with organic methods. It pursues a development strategy for eco-friendly agricultural production and organic production. Continuous improvement of production, customer satisfaction and environmental protection are the basis of the company's philosophy.
By now, since the very early 1990s, European laws for low business impact (EEC Regulation 214) have been applied.
Our philosophy
Since its beginnings, Sorgeva soc. coop. has dedicated resources and commitment to conducting its cereal production and industrial cultures by indulging criteria of and eco-compatibility and sustainability. Respect for the environment that immediately translates into respect for the product and the consumer has therefore always characterized our production and offerings, allowing us to be one of the very first companies to offer fruit and vegetable products with "organic certification."
Transparency in relations with our collaborators, suppliers and customers combined with a daily passion for the work of fruit and vegetable cultivation has led our group to grow steadily, arriving today to be one of the most relevant and esteemed companies in the region.
